Joint Training with Cook Fire Department
The Cook Fire Department (CFD) and the Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade (LVFB) conducted joint training on Monday, June 21st at Pederson’s Landing. The agencies practiced feeding lake water through the Brigade’s fire boat to CFD’s 700-gallon fire engine. This procedure provides an endless supply of water for a structure or wild fire on the lake. The LVFB also operated the monitor on the fire boat that shoots a 200-foot stream of water at 1600 gallons per minute.
